More about me

I often get asked these questions.

Where is home?

I have multiple homes! Janesville, WI / Minneapolis, MN / 📍 Austin, TX (current).

Your home page says you're a futurist. What does that mean?

I really wanted a less cringe-y way to say "technologist." I believe accelerating technological progress is the most powerful way to improve the human experience going into the future. I want humanity to succeed, and that will naturally require advancements in frontier tech like nuclear fusion, "industry" in low-Earth orbit, advanced robotics, bitcoin, and more.

What do you do for work?

I am currently the VP of Custody Support at Unchained.

What do you do in that role?

I educate people and businesses on how to manage bitcoin private keys. Specifically, how to use multisignature security. I have helped Unchained grow to collaboratively secure over $10 billion in bitcoin, and am now fortunate enough to lead internal teams in a people management capacity.

How long have you worked professionally in bitcoin?

Almost 4 years full-time!

Why bitcoin?

Much ink has been spilled attempting to answer this question. I'll refer you to my good friend and colleague, Tom Honzik.

What do you do for fun?

I love to cook great meals for friends, read plenty of science/speculative fiction, work on some fun projects, and explore Austin with my incredible wife (pictured right).

What has been your favorite travel destination to date?

Kyoto, Japan 🇯🇵

Who made this website? What platform did you use?

The site was hand-coded and is maintained by me.

Do you know how to code?

I am reasonably comfortable with crafting web pages and using git. I don't spam tab in Cursor, but I do get pointers from a plethora of word calculators (ChatGPT, Claude, DeepSeek, etc.).

What did you use to make the image on your homepage?

Midjourney with settings to V6 and using the "Hiroshi Nagai aesthetic"
